10th San Diego Real Ale Festival at Pizza Port Carlsbad
Barb, Paul, and Michelle Koury allowed me to tag along on the trip up the coast to the 10th San Diego Real Ale Festival at Pizza Port Carlsbad on Saturday. We've gone to many of the past fests and I kind of expected the beer selection to be a little off on this Day 2, but there was only 1 beer on the list that wasn't available...very cool! I loved all of the big IPAs, tasting so different when cask conditioned and pulled from the keg with a beer engine, but my favorite was the Green Flash Brewing Company's Belgian IPA "Le Freak". What fun!!
