no real difference in styles. Traditional costumes are worn for folk festivals and events.

They dress just like Americans do.

Mild weather with hot summers and cold winters.

Thanks for the tip Mom!

SD fire chief needs 20 stations, 50 engines, 2nd helicopter, and rules. SD is fire country. We should do this, shouldn't we?

Cool alternate way to read the UT. And once you register an account, reading an article gives several blogging options, although not to vo.com movable type platform. You can add to Del.icio.us and Digg (which I'm just now experimenting with).

Sounds like a pretty interesting guy. Must have worked with SAIC's Dr. Beyster at Los Alamos and General Atomics. Wide variety of knowledge and applications. Smart.

This is the non eEdition version of the page. This is one downside of reading and blogging about stories in the eEdition...it's a different URL than others might be reading from, so it's hard to track other's insights on stories using the URL

This is a cool event, although it's usually soooo crowded. I bet there are some secrets of when to go and where to park.

This is a cool diagraming tool, including process flows and other enterprise architecture diagrams...or for most other diagramming needs. I've used it a bit and it's pretty fun and useful.

Interview tonight. Charlie at Anthology soon. This is a really interesting album, not like the funky jammy stuff he's done before, but rocky bluesy jammy...makes sense right?!
-
Really positive reviews for what seems like a transition album for him...very different than his previous work but kind of the next in a series. And why cant AAJ get the titles on their web pages complete? Interview tonight on TNJT.
-
Some really good quotes and fodder for questions, including: "To further establish the sound of his new trio, Hunter abandoned the bubbly, jam-friendly guitar tone that defines his numerous Blue Note recordings. Instead..."
-
These reviews of this disc have made me re-excited about this disc...lots of great talk about it's ecclectic-ness and jammy rock vibe. It's definitely different from other Charlie works.
-
I loved the Nightfly (have it on vinyl) and Kamakiriad (one of my first CDs). This would be fun to experience, both the 3rd one I haven't heard and the bonus material.

This is pretty funny darn funny...can't be true. Thanks Reid!

I learned and attempted this today, helping during Art Corp in Miles class. It is very cool in that it is simple, meant to be contemplated before worked on, and even the preparation of materials is supposed to be meditative. Excellent!

Info sheet and evaluation download for an interface between two modeling tools we use.

Cool event I'm putting on my calendar. Come along and bring your boom box if you are near Downtown SD!
-
Includes a Facebook page about a new twist...marching in the North Park Toyland Parade. Cool!

This is for the Friday session of the 2 day event. I'm trying to find a way to get there on Friday because Saturday is already planned pretty solid. This is a great festival.

Details on the weekend festivities!

A new word, associated with some process work I am doing related to managing manufacturing inventory.

What an interesting concept...being able to build small groups of friends and associates that share links and the value of those links, along with commentary. It seems like there are many tools that sort-of do this.

I wouldn't mind putting one of these portable storage sticks on my keychain. And 4GB is great. I could carry pictures, audio, anything with me anywhere to share.

Video shot right across a courtyard about 2 blocks from WTC. Shocking from the first-person standpoint although there aren't shots of the hits. There is a view of one tower going down. Horrible.

Interesting to see e-retailers get into the gadget business. And great comments on this post with refs to Texas Instruments and Radio Shack (Tandy).

Another i-gadget to add to the christmas list!

It is interesting how these efforts to reestablish peace talks always come at the end of U.S. presidencies. Even more interesting this coming at the end of such a weak, ineffective, and reckless one.

Yep...here's something I want too. There are many times we find ourselves not in the right place when something is on but the laptop is there. Bingo.

This is another cool gadget for putting TV shows on your machine...I would imagine onto your iPod too. Cool.

I bought the house a Netgear wireless router as some of the first move-in business. Worked right off the bat. Very cool and now all of the family computers are online without sharing a cord across the room!

I was looking for a timeline to put these "Jersey Boys" work into some perspective of my lifetime. I really must have heard their music as 'oldies' because I was only 6 when they were at the end of their big heat making streak in 1968.

Horrible. I'm reading Flags of our Fathers right not and making connections between the fanatical militaristic Japenese of that era with the suicide bombers of ours.

I haven't even bothered to find the article, but these comments are great regarding use of a cellphone jammer. I definitely don't need or advocate using such a device, but it is good for people to think a little bit about others while in public.

Looking to confirm an 11/29 interview with Jonathon who is playing Dizzy's on 12/5 and has a new disc The South Of Everywhere out. Cool!
